Re: A320 MDCU control

Paul-Henri wrote:Is there a way to control the screen brightness ?
As I have seen until now, dimming is done via the avionics suite you are using. By changing the colors within the displays dimming is simulated. As far as I found there is no way via the API to dim the display itself.

Re: Item

We are actually making a fully functional version of this panel for Boeing right now and everyone involved is sort of shaking their heads wondering why!? :) Are you shaking heads, or the guys from Boeing? This is a "throwback" panel to the old 737 Classic that really offers little simulation ...

Install a 5" LCD, run Sim-A Overhead, zoom, position and save.

Works great...looks great...easy.
Well I don't consider this as cheating, was just curious.

Re: Overly Excited

You know it was on the day of World Flight when I typed this and with all the excitement, I just got carried away and made the typos. I apologize for those mistakes on your names... You're right about Happy, it looked like all the teams were very happy throughout the event! BSD Don't worry, it was ...

Re: FDS-B737NG-MCOMM - changing frequency ?

willow wrote:This maybe an obvious question, but how do you select from comm1 to comm 2 ?
You select either VHF1 or VHF2 via pushbutton, then you can turn the knobs to adjust standby frequency of either VHF and then you push the transfer switch to interchange standby and active frequency.

For testing purposes I would recommend the option that lights all LEDs up, I can't remember the exact wording, but there is an option in the headline or after clicking right on the board, where you can light up all LEDs to test them.

I don't know how to contact Michel, no address on the website and I don't know his username, but does anyone know, how he did the red/white indicator to match the correct seat position, would be a nice addition for our setup.

Would be nice to receive an answer about this.

There should not be any issues about Pins folks.
PC
Well, there are sockets with more pins, that are still able to take S-Video and have additional features, look at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini-DIN_connector#7-pin_2 for example

We use the A320 from Project Airbus with the flight dynamics from Pedro Oliveira: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=100654 Its not perfect but very accurate in terms of numbers for freeware, others might recommend different setups, take a look in the AST forum, there were already some discus...

Another kind of complete solution is AST (http://www.airsimtech.com/), which simulates systems and also FBW (currently in a beta version), including sidestick add up and priority switching.

What are the differences between firmware 1.08 and 1.09 for the A320 style FCU, is there a description of changes and is it worth to change it or is there a high risk, that something goes wrong during the update process?
