Re: nav light and strobes

Hi , I think you interpreted my request wrong. Its not what they are for its how to switch them on with SA. Do you use FSUIPC and offsets or FSUIPC and fs command list or not use FSUIPC at all and just program them in on the option-controls menu. I know what you mean about being inside your cockpit....

nav light and strobes

Never had much luck with being able to switch strobes and nav light on and off. They seem to work momentarily then stop. Now we have PBR and vatsim models know and reflect your light settings I'd like to use them properly. Which method are you using to control them and are there any pitfalls to watc...

Re: keeping navdata updated

Thanks for your time Alex. =D>

Perhaps a later version of SA might fix it .

Re: keeping navdata updated

Alex, Thankyou for your input. I appreciate the time you have taken. I have looked at fs aerodata and cannot see the advantage over the free updates from https://www.aero.sors.fr unless you use the built in nav radios in p3d. It doesn't seem to do anything extra for addons like sim avionics. It is n...

Re: keeping navdata updated

Hi, Can you just explain what you mean by update P3D. Do you mean SA on the P3D machine? Yes I use navigraph. Thanks Graham Ill explain a little more what I am finding. Im doing an NDB approach into TIVAT LYTV runway 14. This uses the NDB TAZ 345.0. What I find is my mechanical adf and my nd adf nee...

keeping navdata updated

Hi, I subscribe to nav data updates and update every month. I've recently been having a go at navigating via NDBs and VORs, the old fashioned way. I find that my charts ( which are also updated ) give me information about NDBs etc that does not match the sim. Im not sure where our fmc navdata databa...

Re: Entering hold details

Hi sorry I missed your post. I think the only way for us at the moment is to delete the hold after the runway......and then program it in. There's just no other way. I'm interested to know how this is overcome in the real deal. Surely there's a way without deleting anything. It sure a tough one. Tha...

Hi,

Can I just ask how you moved your switch assignments over to the V5 version of FSUIPC please.

Daniel,

Have you tried an arrival that has a go around programmed in containing a hold. If after you've entered this arrival into the FMC and you are issued a hold prior to this arrival you can't program it in. Please try the example a tried.

Thanks Daniel,

That's cured that problem nicely. Many flights later and the weather hasn't knocked me out of the sky once .

So finally running like a dream then up pops v5 :(

Stay healthy
