You can use both, since it's DC current. The IBL panels uses real aircraft bulbs (not LED's). The maximum number of panels are 14 per distribution board. Don't know how many amps, but the fuse SEEMS to be 10 A. This needs to be confirmed by FDS though. The IBL panels uses 5 VDC. So it would be 10A a...

The fella in UK that bought my old units also bought that bracket. Anyway, the bracket is EASY to make yourself! You do not need the whole shebang. A couple of 90 degree metal thingy's (furniture brackets, or those brackets used for building a porch) with holes drilled at the appropriate locations w...

The old MCP and EFIS needs a support bracket. They cannot be mounted without. Easy to make yourself. On the back of the PCB's there are several standoff nuts. You will probably need to make a bracket that fit on these standoffs. Easy to do. The original bracket looked like this: http://www.flightdec...

I stand corrected, Peter! The Pro-MX MCP and EFIS looks GOOD! Even the little thingy on the side of the FD switch! If I'd only asked... For an old-timer in this hobby, it is interesting to see the progress from the NOVA panel time! The best proof of Peter's statement about reinvesting into th...

I'll give you my opinion, and for a moment disregard that this forum belongs to FDS (sort of peeing in other peoples pool now): FDS SYS cards!!!! Or Opencockpits if you WANT to make things difficult. :D The SYS cards makes interfacing a breeze. There's a lot written on it on this forum (you can chec...

Yep, get the whole shebang at once. My MIP has stood covered in a corner for some years because I lacked the CDU bay and the glare shield. Still don't have the CDU bay, but that one I'm hell bent on building myself. :) I know it is a cost issue, but trust me: the shipping can be insane! Shipping + V...

BTW, any examples for where this is actually used? Can't think of anything.

I can confirm that, Peter!!! :) I have the FDS annunciators on my MIP, and they are uniform throughout. As for the other annunciators I have, there is no diffuser. Had to sand the tip of the LED's to get even distribution of the light on quite a few of the annunciators. Not all, as I sourced LED's t...

BTW: I THINK (but I don't exactly know - yet) you can use XML's for other planes as well, even if that particular XML doesn't belong to the 737, or 747 or what ever aluminum bird you're working on. :)

But placing PMSystems in development mode is a very easy way to run through things.

Good luck! :)

Set bit - and on "off", choose clear bit. Easy - no need to to anything else. :) Worked for me, at least.

You do know you can download the XML files for most of the functions? Most of them are there, but in a few areas you need to do it manually.

Quick question: is the whining sounds I hear coming from motors driving the trim wheels? Man, that added to the immersion factor!
