I had a touch of burnout for about six months. I had completed my overhead, but had not finished wiring it up. It was about two-thirds of the way there and I said 'no more' for awhile.

Same thing happened after completing the center control stand. The Sperry SP150 sat there for four months before I finally decided to wire it.

I took about six months off after that and then started my throttle. Now having finished that, I have replacement Boeing panels to install along with another module and I just don't feel like doing it right now.

So I'm flying instead. Laughing

Good for you. That's what this is all about anyway... flying. All the other stuff we do just enhances the overall experience. Don't let the building consume you. Your project doesn't have to be 100% FAA approved to enjoy it. But you should improve your project step by step just like we do in our flying. Keep the faith.

Some recent flying. I really enjoy the Paris to Müchen run. Wien too.

Landing 08R München. Lufthansa Technik maintenance in the background.

After a push-in following visual approach practice at Augsburg.

Intercepting the LEG 238 radial after departing 08, EDDP, Liepzig.

Lyle,
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your landing at Seattle. It really conveys what these simulators are capable of. And simultaneously listening to live ATC...great idea superimposed over the robotic controllers in MSFS. Again, well done.

It's nice to know there are other simmers here in Alaska. I am currently building two different sims. I work seven on and seven off so I am at two locations equally throughout the year. At work I have a scratchbuilt 737NG cockpit sim (which is made up of almost all recycled parts, mon.cpu's/project.) all but the MDF, and at home I have a complete Huey helicopter fuselage to which I am applying an original concept. I will cut it apart after the "C" pillar aft of main cabin, Captains seat (left )will be 737 type controls/displays. First officers side (right) willl be helicopter style controls/displays, and main cabin will have fighter jet style controls/displays. It's visual system will be a flat screen monitor. The other two views will be twin projector to bed sheets for now. Anyone got spare anything they want to sell?[/img]
