|
|
Hi I just wanted to say that thanks to Peter and FDS I now have my SYS1 card and a homemade overhead working with Lights and all until I can get the FDS panels for my overhead.
I also found a way of using FSUIPC to control the functions of most items including the engine starters until I can get PM systems.
I highly recommend buying PM systems though as I have used the demo and you can get to understand the logic behind it however there is a way to use FSUIPC until your cashed up.
If anyone is interested to know how I have done mine drop a line.

Hi Viper,
I am about to start interfacing the overhead panels for a B777 cockpit soon. Sure would be interested how you did it, maybe not in full detail but how you approached this.
Thanks! Math

fsuipc offsets
maineng1 0892
maineng2 092A
Anti Collision Lights 0d0c Bit 1
Winglight 0d0c bit 7
Stobes & Steady 0D0C bits 4 & 0
Taxi Light 0D0C bit 3
Landing Light 028C bit 0
Probe Heat (pitot) 029C bit 0
Yawdamper 56E2 bit 1
Aft2pump 56B1 bit 3
Fwd2pump 56b1 bit 1
Fwd1pump 56B1 bit 0
Aft1pump 56b1 bit 2
Seatbelts ON 04f4 (word) set value 425 & 426 off
Smoking On 04f4 (word) set value 422 & 423 off
wire your leds outputs to the same bits etc for them to light up correctly.
All the above will interact with FS2004 using sys interface card without the need for PM systems however since the aftpumps and fwdpumps need PM systems they are done for show only so you can light the leds and turn them off.
The most effective though is the pass signs and lights and probe heat and eng starters.
All my others are set as per PM systems at this time and work for showing on off but have no real interaction with FS without PM systems.
I will endevour to find a way to do so with the rest if possible.
if you know of any offsets that can help please let me know. |

You can tricker every FSUIPC offset if you want just read the docs with all the offsets in them.
Just have to stick to what FS and FSUIPC have to offer it is not really the logics as what you could get with PM or AST software but the basic things in FS can be used.
ENG1 and ENG2 are the basic offsets of FS, lights can also be tricker with the basic offsets of FS with FSUIPC and so there are more...

Hey good to hear from you frans we havn't spoken for a long time but yeah you might be right but I'm only just finding these offsets out and how to make a working overhead with just these things.
But like I said before I agree that PM systems is fantastic and I cant wait to buy it as the demo is so short in time I wish the demo was at least a 30 day trial so you could enjoy having it work while you get the money to buy the full version.
but I wish I had bought it last year when the price was cheaper oh well a lesson learnt, always buy a fantastic product early. |
