Sorry Mau 8) ...blame PC...he's the one responsible for this heartache :D

Paul, thanks for the comments but Im sure you will bring us to tears soon

The seat are real...ex FedEx 727. Amazingly good condition too...

Image

Now the Electrical Panel...simple but nice solution. Its just a 5.4" LCD
behind the IBL Panel, displaying the PMSystems bitmap zoomed and positioned
to fill the screen...I even impressed myself :D

Heres a shot during testing...

Would you believe I still haven't flown this baby yet...tonight i hope.

He's apparently a builder, not a lover (of flight that is :-)

Thanks Nat for the additional shots. Those seats look almost new, great find. Those wires, are they for sub-woofers?

You will have to tell us about your madin flight

Of course I've flown it...just not as you see it now with shell and OH complete

Missed my chance last night...this weekend FOR SURE :)

Paul, yep the wires are for a pair of bass shakers/transducers...
If any body here hasn't installed them yet, all I can say it was the single
best improvement in immersion I have experienced. When they're off,
the pit feels dead/lifeless...

For Aussie builders(Mark), I bought my bass shakers (4) from Jaycar...

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... &SUBCATID=

I have one attached to the bottom of each seat and one at the base of each column.
The input comes from the sub woofer jack of your sound card and fed into a decent amplifier,
then the shakers are connected to the amp just like speakers...RUMBLE

Thanks for the clarification Nat, I didnt think I was going crazy there!

BTW, you are absolutely right- I am missing my buttkicker right now on my own project. I need to connect it up soon! I just got it all back together recently and havent finished it all yet.

Great pics btw!

G'Day Bill,

Just got back from a little "sim-trip", and saw your post. Thanks for the comments.

Price...well I refuse to add it up in case it is used as evidence against me 8)
Best thing to do is go through the product pages and add up what you want to start with,
I suggest starting with the MIP. Don't let that scare you, just start slowly...piece by piece...less painful

Not sure where you live(US?), but Im in Australia. There's lots of talented builders around the world,
and don't forget the staff at FDS are always available to help...just ask.

Cheers,

Nat :)
