No pics, but after patiently waiting for hardware to catch up to FSX, I made the switch today...

All i can say is FSX is bloody awsome...Full Stop...No Questions.

If you haven't switched yet....do it.

Nat

Im thinking that I will be able to do the same in the next week or so....my new parts for a complete new build arrive tommorow. However, I am not so certain that I can live without my FS9-

*Flight Zone Portland and Rhode Island
*Fly Tampa KSEA and Midway

...several nice freeware products for the small fields I go to.

On the other hand, this ORBX stuff makes me dream about the goodness of FSX higher res textures....

We will see how it all works out!

Go ahead Eric, take the plunge. It only hurts at the beginning, and then on & on, as you discover new FSX 'peculiarities' and also find out that PM folks do all their development/testing on FS9 because of too many bugs in FSX. But we do need more brave souls to blaze a trail where only the foolhardy dare to venture Laughing

Unfortunately these shots don't do FTX YMML justice, because this airport and a Simulator, really is a match made in heaven Smile

It is "intense"on the old computer but still very flyable...and the true photoreal textures give you the ultimate sense of immersion Applause

OR it could be that the pictures were taken during an instant replay where the gauges and what is showing outside are not synchronized anymore. You should also have looked at your instant replays now & then to analyze your various crashes and try to get better at flying your little bus. Razz Laughing

Man, those are some great shots and I say again, FTX is the only reason I'd ever consider FSX at this point!

Ok...two more pics of FTX YMML in action. This really shows what we need as Sim builders...realistic airports.

The first on is from Airliners.net and the second, yours truly...

I was purposely high on the VASIs to match the photo(im usually too low Sad )

@Nic...you gotta get YMML for the new enterprise...its a must for the wow factor:)
