Hi everyone!

Post by Karl737 »

Hi,
Newbie here. I've just started on my road to building 737ng cockpit. Finalised an order with FDS today and can't wait to get my parts! :) Until now, my flight simming was on a laptop...just was not enough! The more I looked at other's cockpits, the more the interest grew until I couldn't help myself, I gotta have one! Anyway, Hi. Its great to be part of this awesome hobby.

Cheers, Karl

Meant to ask this in my first post,

Do I have to use Project Majenta for the DSTD or is there a alternative that I could use to get it up and running for now? Don't have an overhead etc. Apparently PM is very expensive. I will get it eventually though.

Cheers, Karl

G'Day Karl and welcome,

No you don't have to use Project Magenta anymore.
There a few alternatives:

http://www.sim-avionics.com/index.asp
and
http://www.flightdecksoftware.com/

They both look good and I am eager to the try the first ...one day.:?

Cheers,

Nat

Thanks guys! :) The Sim-Avionics looks good. So is it fully compatible with the FDS MCP and CDU or is there some interface issues to deal with?

Cheers, Karl
