Hi,
Newbie here. I've just started on my road to building 737ng cockpit. Finalised an order with FDS today and can't wait to get my parts! Smile Until now, my flight simming was on a laptop...just was not enough! The more I looked at other's cockpits, the more the interest grew until I couldn't help myself, I gotta have one! Anyway, Hi. Its great to be part of this awesome hobby.

Cheers, Karl

Meant to ask this in my first post,

Do I have to use Project Majenta for the DSTD or is there a alternative that I could use to get it up and running for now? Don't have an overhead etc. Apparently PM is very expensive. I will get it eventually though.

Cheers, Karl

G'Day Karl and welcome,

No you don't have to use Project Magenta anymore.
There a few alternatives:

http://www.sim-avionics.com/index.asp
and
http://www.flightdecksoftware.com/

They both look good and I am eager to the try the first ...one day.Confused

Cheers,

Nat

Thanks guys! Smile The Sim-Avionics looks good. So is it fully compatible with the FDS MCP and CDU or is there some interface issues to deal with?

Cheers, Karl
