Hi Nat and the FDS crew, heard you were recently in KL (saw some pics) setting up your Airbus Smile

Is the simulator at the Subang Airport open to the public?

As you've probably guessed, I'm originally from KL and go back quite often.

Selemat Datang (hope thats right!)

Just got back today, tired, but great trip.
Yes FlightsimKL will definitely be open to the public in Feb 2013.
They are setting up on the second level at Subang SkyPark. Great guys.

Thats great! I'll be looking forward to checking out your work and the FDS gear when I get back in August!

Hope you had a good flight back with Air Asia?

I fly with them from the Gold Coast ~400 with return to KL.

This is an awesome build. Well done FDS crew, can't wait to try it out, and maybe hope to emulate it one day.

Hi Juan

We designed the screen and the customer built it to our specifications.
Aluminium and drywall construction.

One thing to note on this setup.. JetMax structure but "blinged" out with IBL, a real 737 Throttle, real seat etc... Not exactly "entry level".
Designed for heavy use.... Which it is getting we hear!

Hey Nat, what's the view angle on that? I keep seeing folks say 180 but doesn't seem to be enough of the sides in the picture to be 180 degrees.

Whats the aprox. cost of building one screen like this one and how many projectors are used?

One of the great things i always like about FDS is their accessibility to solve costumer needs, no matter what.

John,

You're right, the screen is 180, but the image FOV was around 100.
The client needed a simple but impressive system which Looks and feels great. I think its a hit!
