Hi Mark and everybody:

This is mainly for Revolution Throttle users with FDS OVH and InterfaceIT who may run into a similar situation.

I recently upgraded to version 1.56. I use the Revolution TQ Pro version.
I had it working well with version 1.51 without problems.
I use the FDS OVHD with the Sim-Avionics Offsets via InterfaceIT.

Here is the issue. There seems to be a conflict with offset 5420 ( ENG-2-REVERSER) and ELEC_BUS_TRANSFER ( offset 5420, bit 0 ). Also between offset 5419 ( ENG-1-REVERSER and ELEC_IFE_PASS_SEAT) as set in the FSUPIC_IO file. InterfaceIT seems to use this offsets with the Sim-Avionics I/O files.

The result of this was that I could start ENG1 normally, but starting ENG2, after switching the fuel levers to the idle position, immediately defaulted into REV. The EEC worked as well as the Autothrottles , but the plane was uncontrollable due to the reverser been deployed.

After reviewing the SIOC script and finding nothing wrong with the code for the reversers, I ran the Validate function in the FSUIPC I/O Interface window where the conflicts were displayed. By switching off the BUS TRANSFER on the OVHD panel, the REV condition was eliminated, so this confirmed the problem.

I reprogrammed the switch with offset 5302 Byte, set and clear bit 0 functions, ( this offset was available as indicated by FUPIC I/O ) and changed the Offset for the ELEC_BUS_TRANSFER in the FSUPIC_IO file to the same, 5302.

So far, this seems to have corrected the problem,

JF

Fantastic bit of trouble-shooting! Thank you for sharing your findings. Huge help to many I am sure.

In 1.56 I added 3 extra functions to help program reversers on the Jetmax TQ.
x5419 : byte 1 or 0 : Reverser L On/Off
x5420 : byte 1 or 0 : Reverser R On/Off
x5421 : byte 1 or 0 : Reverser L+R On/Off

I made these available on all Licences.

Sorry for the headache caused. Brick wall
Glad you figured it out. Embarassed
