Getting my landing gear working with AST (Resolved)

Post by barrykensett »

I have been using a SYS 1 card for my overhead for a few years, no problems.
Just got a Sys4 and have been changing stuff over from obsolete cards, all going well except I don't know what to do with the gear. Aircraft is A320.
My gear switch is made when up, broken when down. I am using AST software.
For everything I have connected so far I just select an input, pull down the AST menu and select the function, all so far works until I get to the gear lever where there is no item in the drop down menu.
I therefore searched the .xml files and found four: Gear Up, Gear Down, U/C Lever and Undercarriage. First problem then I don't know which to use. Against the input I can load the .xml files OK so I tried all of them but none move my gear up and down. I have to use the "G" key. All the lights work fine.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to get my gear up and down please?

Barry,

I emailed you 3 xml's to use. These are the only ones I have ever used for AST and they are FSUIPC offsets, not AST.
