Whenever I complete a major upgrade to the sim I host a neighborhood get together for interested parties to try their hand at flying an "interesting" approach and landing. Last time it was the checkerboard approach into the old Hong Kong airport and this time around it's the visual river approach into La Guardia Airport in New York City.
The video what taken twice. Once from the back of the flightdeck showing the departure and landing phase of the flight. The second was taken by placing the camera on the pedestal to capture the view of the New York City skyline and I flew up the Hudson River and made the final turn to Runway 13 at La Guardia.
Even though I have an HD camera with low light capability the first video struggled with sharpness. The second did a better job with the outside scenery.
The first ten seconds of the video are of the approach plate to familiarize yourself with the route if you haven't tried it.
