Hi Steve
This is deep in the trivia mine but:
Have had my Jetmax 737 for three years but have never been able to get the tiller handle to hold firm, after tightening the grub screws it works loose after just a few operations. Using super-glue to lock them doesn't work. Is it because they have snubbed conical ends rather than fully flat ones ?
Also, what is the type and size of bit used to tighten the grub screw on the heading knob ? It's not a Allen Key but I can't make out what it is.
Rgds
Chris

Hi Chris,

The set screws in the MCP knobs are .050" SAE Allen keys.

The Tiller has a flat part on the shaft and there are 1 or 2 set screws to tighten on the flat spot. 5/64" Allen key.

Thanks Steve
The problem with the two tiller set screws is that they work loose very quickly after being tightened onto the flat.
What is their spec ?
Chris

I have also always had the same problem. Periodically tighten the set screw, but mostly have ignored the loose tiller and carefully work around it. Maybe a drop of Loctite (Blue not Red!!!!) on the set screw might help.

Thanks Dennis
As I said, super-glue hasn't locked them tight.
I too have worked round the problem as you have.
But I'm thinking of replacing the back screw with a bolt onto a lock-washer.
