unable to download xml files

Post by flyboy01 »

Hi All,
I have just finished building and wiring up my ibl overhead panel. After being excited and pleased to see all the panels lit up i decided to connect att the plugs to the sys1 board. After many frustrating hours i am still no closer to being able to download the 737 overhead xml files, as when i click to download a screen opens and a message at the bottom reads "unable to get directory listing. error 12002" i am starting to pull my hair out in frustration, and if i keep going i will have no hair left by tomorrow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Trevor

100% Fine Here.
Checked on a new computer as well.
Be sure you are selecting the aircraft Type
Be sure you are using the "List Files" function.
Please also check the manual.
You should not have any issues.
Brent will be moving next month and we do see a few days of down time as the server ir moved but all is 100% and has been for months Trevor.

Hi PC,

Im getting the same error here on two PCs at two different locations. The programme appears to be locking up. Firewalls disabled just in case etc.

Trevor,

What was again at your end the problem?

Looks like this seems to be the same issue for James.

I just set up a computer at the shop again and downloaded all of the XMLs..
IF you are still struggling in today. Email and I will email back.
Brent is 100% sure that all is working. The server is in his home.

Ok, have it working now-ish.

Getting most of the files downloaded then it says "not responding" but I am getting further than I was.

Then you just press the "download button" again and the download continues with the rest of the files.

Try to see if there is also maybe a firewall in your router/modem that could hold this down?

Seems this was the issue for Trevor..

Dail up.. well that could be the case.

If there would be any noise on that line it could result into a 12031 error..

Hello there,

Trevor is away on exercises(AirForce) so if you don't mind I'll reply on his behalf.
He never did solve his problem with the download of the xml files. In the end he asked me to try and I had no problems downloading them.
I then emailed them to him and he has been busy setting up his overhead until just before he had to leave.
I believe Trevor will be back home sometime next week.

cheers

Paul
