Steve W. December 07 Project Update

Post by pcos »

Steve W is a long time builder who has been a huge supporter in the development of the SYS boards, offering hours of his own time to create and offer xmls to everyone. Steve is nearby to our facility and drops in now and then to see all the new items, always a postive person and his project shows that in all the details. Thank you for the update shots Steve. Thank you for all your help and support to us at FDS! PC

Very nice, Steve.

I assume that's the instructor station LCD monitor aft of the overhead?

Thanks Gents,

Sounds corny....but I've always tried to build a sim that looks good with the lights on and off! (was never as successful in my dating years ;-)).

Regardless, I'm happy with where I'm at, and actually kind of sad that the 'major' components are done. Sure, lots to do with 'tweaking' (visuals / back-lit MCP / floor/ etc.), but I'm have no plans to go down the linked rudder and yokes unless it can be done without building a platform or digging a hole in my basement. Perhaps the last big job is updating the visuals to a John Shepherd special (http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/view_page.php?id=54).

Funny, someone planted a seed a few days ago, and it hasn't left my head. Maybe my next big thing will be an A320! Never thought I'd say that....but I'm impressed with the current 320 sim products. Probably much farther along then when I started the B737NG in February of 2004.

Thanks for the notes Frans, Jon, Tim, Dave, and rhys. Jon, you are correct, the monitor above the O/H is for the Instructor Station. The beauty about the location is that I can easily swivel it so it can be seen when flying. Perfect for pulling charts, VATSIM, weather, etc.

Finally, thanks to Peter for all your help, support, and being a great friend.

I'm going to also build a remote controlled F18 or a Raptor as my escort plane and I will blast you out of my skies when I see you . I was going to ease up on this Boeing vs Airbus vendetta, but this is too much for me. No more Mr. nice guy for me.

And contrary to popular belief or more likely rationalization by the size challenged individuals, the bigger the better  . Glad to see you haven't deserted us. This bus crowd is getting a little too boisterous for my liking and we need all the muscle we can muster to tame them down

Maurice my friend, I've waited over a day for that response! Wondered if you fell off your chair and couldn't get back up or were ignoring the comments! Gotta have you over again soon!
