Jon fired over some updated shots of his setup now that the new IBL Series panels are installed and running. Jon went with the FDS-EM1 switches. Thank you for the update shots Jon!

I for one just hate seeing shots like these. All this does is show us what can be done and makes us feel inadequate if we can't measure up. How can I be happy with what I have right now after seeing this magnificent setup? Rolling Eyes Laughing

Wow! Does that ever look incredible!! Peter your panels are truly incredible and Jon your set up makes them look even better if that were ever possible!! Very Happy

Do your start switches function like the real deal on the 74? I can't get over at how great this set up looks and cannot wait to get my nose fitted out...

Keep sharing these great pics and thanks!

Best Regards,

Tom Waldon

Tom,

They are a homemade "pull to start" switch with the start valve open indicator integrated into them. However, I am using the "latching" function in interfaceIT beta to hold them in the open position. I do not have a latching solonoid built into them so they don't physically stay extended until the start valve light goes out.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I've been a little lax in reading the forums for awhile as I'm occupied with trying to enhance the system logic for the 747 in pmSystems to make the overhead function as well as PC's panels make it look.

Jon

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the info on your start switches and they look fantastic and for some reason I just can't stop starring at them and the rest of your sim! Sounds like you are getting into the really fun stuff now!!

Keep the pics coming when you get the opportunity - WE LOVE EM!!

Happy tuning Very Happy

All the best,
Tom

WOW these look great. Any chance of getting a detailed diagram on the demensions for the overhead panel? I'm trying to model the cockpit of the 747 in my 3D modeling program and I'm going to start with the overhead panel. I'm using the PMDG 747 overhead panel as a reference image for the modeling session but I am unsure of the measurements.

Thanks,
Lee
