First look at Ortho for XP11 - Florida

Post by Michael_B767_ATP »

Hi Everyone,

I'm still installing Ortho for the state of Florida. Here is a shot showing Ortho on the right screen and xplane 11 generic ground textures on the left screen.

Once I have all three computers setup with Ortho (photoreal) Florida I'll get a video online.

Ortho takes XP11 even further as far as realism is concerned, it looks really nice now. Now to figure out how much space I'm going to need to complete the United States in photoreal.

Hi,

Getting photo real into Xplane was simple, easier than TileProxy (something I could never get to work) to install. File size is going to be extremely large if I'm going to cover the US, but this looks real nice once it's setup.

Must admit, scenery looks pretty detailed.
What height is that from Mike?

Cheers

Hi Mike,

No Idea, I just jumped up in the air right over KMIA once it was installed. I just wanted to have a quick look.

I'll get a video online showing how she looks at various heights coming in on approach.

Maybe do a few: KMIA, KFLL, KMCO, KRSW, KJAX, KTPA

Hi,

It's what I wanted all along, photo real ground scenery with AI on top. Looks like we have it and it is working nicely together.

Hi,

Here is a video starting from 17,500' down to 1,000' in a steep dive. It should give you an idea on what the photo real looks like blended into the AI.

Looks good all the way down.
