Hi Guys,

I use PFC rudder pedals.
Assignments and calibration FSUIPC (curve at 13) all OK
Even if I try to apply carefully the same pressure on both sides, I have a hard time breaking and keeping the aircraft on a straight line, which makes taxiing and docking a real challenge.

Need your comments and experience on that
Jack

hello jack
I do not know if it's possible with P3D as with Fsx but have you tried to calibrate with P3d rather than Fuipc to compare?

Jack

Yes differential braking can be somewhat tricky and my brakes have hardly any resistance which makes it even more difficult.

I have a curve set in my FSUIPC as well, not sure what it is.

While taxiing i try to control speed with thrust and hardly use braking at all
To slow down if too fast for turns i just dab lightly on both brakes and release but mainly try to anticipate and control speed with thrust.

Also I have noticed that asymmetric thrust will turn you as well so hand on tiller always.

Gate approach I try to do at 5kts max and slight thrust bursts to keep it moving, brakes only for the full stop.

Cheers
Michael

OK I'm not alone Very Happy

Is there a way to link them as differential breaking is not a real necessity.

Yes you can set them both to brake rather than left / right differential brake in FSUIPC.

I know this because only one of my Opencockpits rudder pedals has a properly working brake, so I have the one working side set to brake, not differential brake. (New FDS rudder pedals on the way)

Done, works like a charm
FSUIPC5 and P3d
Axis tab
move left brake pedal
tick first line and assign "left brake"
tick second line and assign "right brake"

Rescan

Same for right brake
OK save

Just in case
It screwed up my flaps and spoiler which both went full extent.
A simple restart put everything back in order.
Mystery?
