The Control Display Unit (CDU) is the gateway to the heart and soul of any modern airliner.  With its key role as a human-machine interface, it plays a critical role in the operation of today’s aircraft.  Pilots interact with these devices from the time they board to the time they leave the cockpit.

With over a decade in production and thousands of units in circulation, FDS has long been the go-to CDU supplier for major airlines, airframers, aviation authorities, flight schools, R&D firms, and enthusiasts.  The new E-Series PRO-MX CDUs are designed to cater to each and every one of those diverse market segments.

Compatible with all major high level 737 avionics software suites and add-ons, and equipped with a built-in desk stand, FDS E-Series PRO-MX CDUs can be easily used in a classroom setting or dropped into virtually any FDS B737NG trainer.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

COLOUR LCD
Featuring software adjustable LCD brightness our next generation full colour, high resolution LCD delivers astounding graphics quality in all conditions!  Wide viewing angle ensures excellent viewability and high contrast even at sharp angles.

REAL DZUS COMPLIANT
All E-Series PRO-MX CDUs feature real aircraft DZUS fasteners for secure mounting and easy removal.  The 8.95" x 5.75" footprint ensures drop-in ability to virtually all FDS Fixed Based Procedural Trainers.

MODERN CONNECTIVITY
One of the key features of the FDS E-Series products is our New High-Speed Ethernet interface for ultimate integration flexibility and data throughput.  Network cable is included.  Additionally, to ensure crisp graphics the FDS-B737NG-PRO-MX-CDU-E features an HDMI video interface (HDMI cable sold separately).

TACTILE AIRCRAFT QUALITY KEYS
Our E-Series CDU units feature highly consistent keypad illumination, now dimmable via the new Brightness Control Key.  This allows for convenient internal control in addition to the available external brightness control.

Engineered with aircraft-quality switch components, the E-Series CDU keypad is built for high durability and many years of use.  The accurate aircraft key shapes offer a super realistic tactile feel and audible click.

METAL CONSTRUCTION
Product durability is particularly important on high usage components like CDUs.  The E-Series features an aluminum bezel, steel case, and steel structural components.  The units are powder coated for a long lasting finish.
