[NEWMARKET, ONTARIO, CANADA, February 11, 2020] – Flightdeck Solutions recently furthered their long standing relationship with Auburn University, Alabama, USA, with the sale of a high level A320 Flight Training Device. Having one of the largest flight training programs of any US university Auburn doubled down on their commitment to top level flight training by pairing the Flightdeck Solutions device with a Q4 Collimated Visual System. To no surprise, the FDS A320 device has been dubbed the “Crown Jewel” of the program.
The delivery of the FDS device marks the next stage of collaboration between Flightdeck Solutions and the school. The company will work closely with Auburn faculty members on advancing the capabilities of the A320 device to certified levels and will actively participate in research programs.
Auburn University is uniquely positioned with their involvement in the Delta Airlines Propel Program. Delta recognizes that the existing pilot shortage will continue to be a challenge for the airline industry and has aligned with numerous universities and colleges to support their efforts. For Flightdeck Solutions being chosen as a device provider was met with a great deal of enthusiasm and satisfaction:
“Working with a prestigious facility like Auburn gives us a great deal of pride”, said Flightdeck Solutions President, Peter Cos. “Carl Thompson and all of his Auburn supporters are delivering flight training at far higher level than previously imagined. FDS will be working overtime to maintain a strong presence with them.”
Auburn University is equally thrilled about the collaboration:
“The simulator has been performing spectacularly!!” writes Ben C., Sim Tech at Auburn. “The combination of your hardware paired with Q4’s visual is phenomenal. We have been very fortunate to work with Flightdeck Solutions.”
